Christopher Nolan's "Dunkirk" made a strong impression in its opening weekend, particularly for a non-franchise World War II movie, and the R-rated comedy "Girls Trip" proved a worthy adversary. Luc Besson's sci-fi epic "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets", however, proved to be a huge disappointment. Find out more about the weekend box office after the jump.
