This photo isn't as clear as I'd like but I wanted to show you these three (!!) tomato plants that are almost as tall as I am (5'7"). The crates are there to support the lower branches which were dragging on the patio. This is their first year on soil that used to be lawn. The only thing added was our donkey and sheep manure. They are loaded with little tomatoes. The one in the middle is Rose de Berne, an heirloom we've not grown before, and the ones on the outside are both cherry tomatoes - Peacevine and Sungold. We've had success with the Peacevine in other years, but the Sungold is new to us. So excited for them to turn red!
